About
James Moxley is a Nanaimo photographer specializing in portrait and fashion photography for brands. He moved from Scotland in 2011, where he spent time traveling through the country rock climbing, riding his motorbike through the Cairngorms and whitewater kayaking many of the rivers through Glen Etive. He is an alumni of Sheridan College's Art Program, focusing on life drawing and painting. He spent his summers as a videographer, working for the rafting companies producing videos of clients tackling the rivers. His current passion is stand up paddling, hiking, snowboarding and building racing drones. He has recently trained with one of the world's best natural light photographers Stanislav Puchkovsky (Sean Archer), where after completing his own work, his photo reached the front page of 500px.com, with over 18,000 views. In the spring of 2014 he was asked to write an article for F-Stoppers called "How I shot it" for their online publication. James is currently taking projects for 2024.
